Message from the President
Welcome to the Virginia Zeta chapter of Sigma Alpha Epslion. Our chapter of SAE was founded in 1974 and averages around 100 undergraduate members. We focus on living up to the expectations of the True Gentleman, while enjoying all college has to offer with our brothers. From Resident Advisors to Hokie Ambassadors and Big Event Committee members to Athletic Trainers, our men are involved in numerous activities on and off campus and strive to show our community what being an SAE means.
In coordination with Virginia Tech Dining Services, our spring philanthropy, Flex Out Hunger, raises over $15,000 towards a local food pantry called the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon is the largest fraternity in the nation with over 220 chapters, over 11,000 active undergraduates, and 297,000 brothers initiated. Becoming a brother of SAE is a way to take your college experience to the next level and challenge your leadership, social, and academic skills. We encourage you to see for yourself what being an SAE is all about.
Phi Alpha,
Billy Miller
VA Zeta Chapter President

Flex Out Hunger Flex Out Hunger April 28-29 and May 2-3 2011

The goal of Flex Out Hunger is to raise money for the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program (MCEAP), an organization dedicated to assisting families and individuals in the area that are in need. We encourage you to visit their website at http://civic.bev.net/mceap/ to learn more about the program. We are pleased that we are one of the few Greek Organizations that contribute to the local community in such a substantial manner. Our event is one of the top money-raising philanthropies at Virginia Tech. In 2010, we were able to raise over $10,000, ALL proceeds going directly to MCEAP. The brothers of SAE are proud of the success that this program has had and our financial goals are raised each year. This year, we hope to raise at least $15,000. Participating is EASY:1. Go to any of the dining halls on campus on April 28-29 and May 2-3 and find the SAE brothers at information tables to get a donation form.2. Remember that donations work like FLEX dining dollars (ex. - if you wish to donate $30 of your meal plan, write $60 for the donation amount) 3. Ask the brothers at the stand, or any brother on campus wearing our letters if you have any questions!
SAE House is located at 420 E. Roanoke St, Blacksburg, VA, 24060
